‘Unbelievable’ was Claire Woodhall’s reaction when told she had won a huge prize bundle as part of the Alhambra Shopping Centre’s What’s It Worth? competition in conjunction with Dearne FM.
From Friday 5th May until Sunday 21st May, a large glass display box, supplied by JSS Installations, was placed outside Primark in the Alhambra.
The display was packed full with retailer products, including a Nintendo 2DS, mobile phones, luggage, perfume, various gift vouchers and much more! The Centre management also added some big-ticket items including a junior mountain bike and a 49” TV.
To win, shoppers had to guess the total value of the contents within the prize box to take home the lot!
Over 1700 people entered the competition and it was Claire, from Hoyland, (pictured) whose guess was closest to the actual retail value of the prizes which was £1,559.30. She was only 29p out!
She commented: “I just can’t believe I won and all of this is mine. I am most excited about winning the new TV, but all of the prizes are amazing. Thank you Dearne FM and Alhambra.”
Steph Higham, Alhambra Marketing Manager said: “We are delighted for Claire, who is the lucky winner of our What’s It Worth? competition! The campaign was a huge success, with people visiting various stores to price up each item and submit the best possible guess.
“We love making our customer’s happy and we have lot’s more exciting competitions in the pipeline for the rest of 2017.”
