Barnsley Hospice is preparing to welcome show business stalwart Linda Nolan to its most glamorous fund-raiser of the year.
Linda, whose wealth of experience includes hit records, international television shows, major world concert tours and appearances with the world’s most popular superstars, will take centre stage at the ‘Dining Divas’ event at the Holiday Inn in Dodworth on Sunday 11 November.
The star replaces Sherrie Hewson as guest speaker at the afternoon fund-raiser, which also includes a prosecco reception, two-course lunch and shopping opportunities with luxury retailers.
Sue Miller, income generation manager at Barnsley Hospice, said: “No-one knows show business like Linda and we can’t wait to hear her share her memories and experiences of life in the limelight. Of course, we’re hoping to hear plenty of gossip too!”
Linda (pictured) enjoyed worldwide success when touring with her sisters as The Nolans, and in recent years she has graced the stage in the West End and in performances across the UK. She appeared in Celebrity Big Brother in 2014 and makes regular appearances on ITV’s Loose Women.

Barnsley Hospice has to raise over £2m a year to care for patients – in addition to £1.6m funding from the NHS Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG). The charity provides specialist care for anyone in the borough with a life-limiting illness, including cancer, motor neurone disease and heart disease.
